ANNOUNCEMENTS  

The Randolph County School District will be participating in the H1N1 flu clinics that are taking place across the state in an effort to vaccinate children against the threat of the H1N1 flu. The flu clinics are voluntary and students MUST have parental permission to receive the vaccination. The dates for the clinics are as follows:

December 7, 2009         Wedowee Middle School

December 8, 2009          Woodland High School

December 10, 2009         Randolph County High School

December 10, 2009         Rock Mills Junior High School

December 10, 2009         Wadley High School

These clinics are for elementary students ages 4-9 and each student will receive with signed parental permission the H1N1 "nasal mist" vaccine which will require two vaccines at least 21 days apart. H1N1 vaccination clinics for students ages 10 and above will be in January 2010.

We are very pleased to announce that we can offer  parents the capability to pay for their child's lunches online.  You will be able to see the activity on your child's account as well as set notices when your child's account balance becomes low.  You will be able to follow, when your child ate lunch and if they purchased any other items in the cafeteria.    You first setup an account on the website by inputting the students' number, birthdate and address that we have listed in the school.  The website is https://www.schoolpaymentsolutions.com

 

 

 

 

 

Randolph County School System is comprised of six schools with a total enrollment of approximately 2,300 students, and is located in Randolph County in north central Alabama on the eastern border.  Our schools include:

   *Randolph County High School, (K-3, 7-12)

   *Rock Mills Jr. High School, (K-8)

   *Wadley High School, (K-12)

   *Wedowee Middle School, (4-6)

   *Woodland High School, (K-12)

   *Randolph - Roanoke Career Technology Center, (10 - 12)   (This center also serves Roanoke

        City  School students.)

   In the Randolph County School System, we provide our students the finest education and then watch with pride as they achieve regional and national honors.  These achievements are evident through the performances and accomplishment displayed by our scholar bowl teams, math teams, FFA, 4-H, FCCLA, Beta Clubs, Spanish Clubs and other clubs.  We are also very proud of the performances of our athletic teams.

   The ongoing and ever evolving world of technology is an integral part of our instruction program.  In addition to the basic computer sciences taught to our students beginning at an early age, various subjects and vocational trades incorporate computer knowledge into their curriculum program.  All our schools benefit from a county-wide educational network offering an extensive array of education materials and resources.
